Spain will meet goal to spend 2% of GDP in defense, PM says

Spain will achieve the NATO goal of spending 2% in defense within a multi-year period, according to Spain’s Prime Minister.

He stated Monday that Spain would meet its defense spending target of 2% in a multi-year period.

NATO member countries have pledged to spend 2 percent of their GDP on defense.

Many European countries including Germany, Poland, and Denmark have increased their military spending as a response to the Ukraine crisis.
