Hungary will veto EU oil ban proposal – minister

According to the BBC, Hungary’s Secretary for International Communication and Relations said that the EU proposal to ban Russian oil imports will be rebuffed.

Zoltan Kovacs stated that the proposal was unacceptable and would “ruin Hungarian economics”.

His comments cast doubt on the proposal, since the plans must be approved and signed by all 27 EU member states.
