Acid attack survivors in Mexico: 'Justice is not enough'

Carmen Sanchez was left by her abusive partner after he attacked her with acid. She was severely scarred.

She established her Mexican foundation last year to assist victims of terrorist attacks in rebuilding their lives.

Nearly 20% of acid attacks on women reported since 2001 were fatal. However, authorities in the country are concerned that these figures may not be representative of all the cases.

For anyone who has been affected by this story, you can find support at BBC Action line UK , bbc.co.uk/actionline and befrienders.org international.
