Fighting erupts as Ukrainian troops deploy near Enerhodar – reports



Ukrainian troops were spotted by Russian troops close to the town Enerhodar. They have now been captured by Russian aviation, Russian news agencies reported Thursday (1 September), citing Russian-installed city officials.

Enerhodar is home to the Zaporizhzhia, Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant. On Thursday, an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEC) mission headed to the region to assess the risks posed by the ongoing hostilities.
