Germany’s gas situation is tense and could worsen, regulator says

Germany is able to supply stable gas, but it is tense. Germany’s network regulator said after Russia’s Gazprom extended the outage at Nord Stream 1

Russia cancelled a Saturday deadline (3 September) for the pipeline’s restarting flow. It claimed that it discovered an oil spillage in a turbine during maintenance.

The regulator stated in its daily gaz situation report that the “Russian defects” are not technical reasons to stop operations.
