Pope Francis will not be able to visit Moscow or Kyiv before a meeting with religious leaders in Kazakhstan 13-15 Sept. This was because Pope Francis’s doctor ordered it.
The channel’s webmaster interviewed Francis about his plans to visit Russia after his recent trip to Canada. He also spoke about his plans to encourage dialogue between the two nations.
Francis stated that he couldn’t travel because of a setback in my knee healing after the trip to Canada, and that the doctor had prohibited it. He stated, “Before Kazakhstan you can’t travel.”
“But I have been maintaining contact over the telephone… There’s something we can all do. I am following the situation with my prayers and pain. He stated that the situation was truly tragic.
“Dialogue is the best way forward,” I believe.
Francis spoke to Reuters in July to express his desire to visit Kyiv and to also travel to Moscow to promote peace.
He claimed that he had sustained a small fracture in his knee due to a misstep. A ligament was also injured.
Francis will visit Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan, capital of Traditional and World Religions, for the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
Francis implicitly accuses Russia in Ukraine of “armed conquest, expansionism”.
To repair tensions, the Vatican had recently to refer to Francis’s condemnations regarding the war in Ukraine. After he was hit by a car bomb in Moscow, he referred to Darya Dugina (a Russian ultranationalist) as an innocent casualty.
