The Italian brothers are pleased with the decision of CDP, the state lender, not to bid for Telecom Italia’s fixed-line grid. This was according to a leading right-wing official.
AlessioButti is a lawmaker who oversees telecoms policy for the Brothers of Italy party. He said that he appreciated CDP’s decision to postpone its non-binding bid until after it votes.
Sources claim that CDP waited until the 25th September vote to submit its non-binding offer for TIM’s landline grid. This was in order to plan for the creation of a single broadband network across Italy.
