Ukraine: Urgently needed spare parts delivered to Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Satellite imagery gives a better view of Zaporizhzhia’s reactors, Ukraine’s nuclear power station. It was taken 29 August 2022.

Energoatom, Ukraine’s nuclear state company, announced Friday (16 September) that it had received urgently needed spare parts and diesel fuel from Zaporizhzhia atomic power station. Russian troops are currently occupying the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.

Energoatom stated the parts would be used to repair power lines and generator blocks. Both sides accuse the other of attacking the facility, which is Europe’s largest.
