Sir Elton John performed at The White House for the first-time since 1998. He was presented with a US President Joe Biden award for his contributions to music.
With his performance, the veteran star won more than 2000 guests, including teachers and nurses, as it was a celebration of “everyday historians”.
Sir Elton was surprised by President Biden’s National Humanities Medal at the end of the program.
After a 50-year career, the 75-year-old singer is on a farewell tour.
