The incident occurred after police tear-gassed supporters who entered the pitch late Saturday night.
After local team Arema FC lost 2-3 against bitter rivals Persebaya Surabaya, in East Java, many more were injured in the crush.
According to the country’s chief security Minister, spectators exceeded stadium’s capacity of 38,000 by abounding 4,000 people.
