Nobel Peace Prize: Moment NGO told on the phone it has won award

Along with Ales Bialiatski, a Belarusian activist and Memorial, the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded jointly to the Ukrainian-based Center for Civil Liberties.

Olav Najelstad was the director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute. He called Oleksandra Romantsova the general manager for the Ukrainian NGO shortly before the award was announced.

She was moved by this.
