Watch: Hong Kong protester beaten up in China consulate grounds

Pro-democracy activists from Hong Kong were dragged into Manchester’s Chinese consulate and beat up.

Unidentified men escaped from the consulate and forced one man to the ground, but he was eventually able escape with the assistance of police officers.

The consulate spokesperson said that protesters displayed an offensive portrait of China’s President.

Greater Manchester Police says that a live investigation has been launched.
