Switzerland sets record with world’s longest passenger train

A Swiss railway operator set a new record in completing the longest passenger train journey.

The train was made up of 100 coaches and covered a distance of 1.9km (1.2 miles). It also completed a 25km (15.5mile) journey through the Alps.

This world record attempt was made to celebrate 175 years of Swiss railways and Switzerland’s engineering achievements.
