Germany’s Scholz promises Ukraine further support in call with Zelenskiy

Olaf Scholz (pictured), German Chanceller, assured Volodymyr Zelenskiy that Berlin would continue supporting Kyiv’s financial, military, and political needs in a Monday phone call (1 November). According to a government statement Scholz gave the assurance.

Scholz condemned Russian bombardment on civilian infrastructure and called baseless Russian claims that Ukraine was creating a “dirty Bomb” untrue. Dirty bombs can contain nuclear material.

According to the government statement, “The Ukrainian president agreed that the Independent Investigationconducted By the International Atomic Energy Agency(Ukraine) would clear all doubts regarding this topic.”
