Antarctica penguins: How too much ice triggered population decline

Scientists discovered a 43% drop in the Adelie penguin population at the east Antarctic coast over ten years.

It is believed that penguin colonies were affected by years of thick ice, despite a general decrease in Antarctica’s ice.
