The Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak stated that he requested Germany to send Patriot missile-launchers to Poland in order to help Ukraine.
Blaszczak wrote on Twitter: “After additional Russian missile strikes, i asked Germany for the Patriot battery offers Poland to be transferred into Ukraine and deployed along its west border.”
“This will prevent more deaths and blackouts from Ukraine and increase security at our eastern border.”
Poland announced Monday, 28 November that it would add Patriot missile launchers to its borders with Ukraine after Germany offered.
Berlin offered Warsaw its Patriot missile defence system in return for assistance in securing its skies following last week’s Polish Stray Missile Crash. It previously said that it would assist its eastern neighbor in air policing.
Last week, a missile struck Poland and killed two people. The attack appeared to be accidental and not a Russian strike. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg stated.
