Syria camps: Relatives of Islamic State group ‘stuck in limbo’

Tens of thousands of people were held after the defeat of Islamic State (IS), including children and women, in 2019.

Many of them are foreign nationals.

One of them is Asim, 19, from Tunisia. He was only 10 years old when his brother joined IS.

Nafiseh Knavard, BBC Persian correspondent, was granted rare access to the camps and detention centers in northern Syria.
