ANC conference: SA President Ramaphosa struggles to stop hecklers in own party

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was interrupted as he delivered an opening speech at the conference of his ruling party.

He is running to re-elect himself as leader of African National Congress (ANC), which has been divided by his rivalry against former President Jacob Zuma.

Recent impeachment proceedings against Ramaphosa over the “Farmgate”, scandal that involved millions of dollars stashed in couches at Ramaphosa’s private farm, saw him survive.
