Iran protesters ‘too scared to go to hospital’

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard uses live fire and birdshot against protesters. However, many people who are severely injured are not going to hospitals. There are reports that people are being taken to emergency rooms.

Volunteers without any medical training attempt to treat patients at home. It is not known how many people have suffered life-altering injuries or died as a consequence.

Two Iranians were severely injured and fled their homes to seek treatment in Iraqi Kurdistan.

One of them was a veterinarian who was trying to help other protesters.
