France requested that the European Union conduct COVID testing of Chinese tourists, after Paris made this request during a pandemic.

More talks are planned for this week.
France will require all Chinese visitors to report any negative COVID-19 tests no later than 48 hours before departure.
Francois Braun, the Health Minister, stated that France would advocate for the same method to be used throughout the EU as Transport Minister Clement Beaune. They were looking into the new procedures at Paris Roissy Charlie de Gaulle Airport.
Beaune answered a question regarding whether a Chinese traveller can land in an EU country and then unchecked go to France.
After three years of maintaining its borders closed, Beijing abruptly changed course and started to live with the virus. Recent weeks have seen an increase in infections.
