Bursts of flames after Lithuania gas pipeline explosion

Outside Pasvalys, Lithuania, a gas pipeline linking Lithuania and Latvia exploded.

The flames rose to 50 meters high but firefighters stated that the fire would eventually die down after the valves in the pipeline were shut off.

Although there were no injuries reported, local officials requested that people close their windows and remain indoors.
