Ilham Aliyev met with President of European Council in Munich


President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Charles Michel, President of European Council.

The discussion was focused on the status of normalization of relations between Azerbaijani and Armenia, as well as negotiations for a peace deal and the Brussels peace process.

President Ilham Aliyev reiterated Azerbaijan’s support for the Brussels Peace Process.

Charles Michel stated that the European Union would continue to work to normalize relations between Armenian and Azerbaijan and to reach a peace agreement and ensure stability and security throughout the South Caucasus.

The two leaders also shared their views on the European Union mission to Armenia.
