Locals have given the find in Hamamatsu, a coastal city, various names such as “Godzilla egg”,’mooring buoy’ and “from space” to be fascinated.
NHK, a Japanese broadcaster, showed footage of Enshuhama Beach officials looking at the rusty metal sphere measuring 1.5m (4.9ft).
