Georgia: Police break up protests as crowds stay defiant

Georgians took to the streets to protest a controversial law draft that critics consider an attack on independent media and civil society.

According to the government, transparency will be improved by the bill on “foreign agents”.

Riot police used pepper spray and water cannon to disperse crowds. MPs have fought over the bill in parliament.
