Zelenskiy said that he had a long and meaningful conversation with Macron during which the two coordinated their positions on the war and the best way to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
In a video he sent that evening, he personally thanked France and Emmanuel for the support they gave to our country and its people. He thanked France for its promise to send weapons to Ukraine.
In Zelenskiy’s presence, Macron reaffirmed France’s support for Ukraine and gave an update on European coordination in order to give Ukraine military aid.
Josep Borrell expressed his confidence in the European Union this week, the head of its foreign policy. He said that the EU would finalise a plan to buy ammunition for Ukraine within days. After Kyiv expressed frustration at the disputes between EU member countries, Borrell said that a plan would be finalised within days by the bloc to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.
