The crash occurred around 10:20am in the forest near the village of La Combe Dernier, according to Neuchatel police.
The police reported the pilot and his two passengers had died at the scene. Police reported that rescue efforts were difficult because of the steep terrain.
The police added that they didn’t know the exact cause of the accident, but that an investigation was underway.
