Moment cars swept away by floodwaters as Storm Ciarán hits Italy

Dramatic footage shows cars being washed away by floodwater in Prato, central Italy.

Storm Ciarán brought the heaviest rain to hit Tuscany in 50 years.

At least six people died in the extreme weather, and several others are missing; the army was drafted in to help evacuate those who were trapped.

The Italian government has announced it will provide €5m (around £4m) of emergency funds to help the region.
